Vidyananda Gurukula, founded in 1922, by Raghavendra Rao Desai, provides educational facilities in one of the most rural and backward area in Karnataka, India.
In 1952, Vidyananda Gurukula Education Trust (VGET) was formed to run the school. VGET, apart from running the Gurukula, started several community projects to help destitute children, old-age home among others.
VGET has won several State and National awards for its meritorious service to the community.
Founder's vision continues to inspire and guide his coworkers, disciples and students.
